“Everyone thinks it’s more expensive than staying outside the park, but that’s not necessarily true,” he said. “The park service wants to make it available to everyone, but you have to book it in advance.”
For example, during peak season, Ahwahnee Hotel In Yosemite it can fill months and even years in advance, Haradin said. It’s one of the more expensive hotels on the National Park Service, with rooms starting at $518, according to the hotel’s website.
