City dominated the match from start to finish as Pep Guardiola’s team came out 2-0, and Haaland scored both.

After an initial half hour, Haaland was passed through a clever pass from Ilkay Gundogan and brought down by West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola. Haaland Cole sent a penalty kick to give his team a 1-0 lead in the first half.

In the second half, Haaland stole the show again when he grabbed a well-crafted pass by Kevin De Bruyne and fired it coolly to score the three points.

The Norway international could have scored a hat-trick but was unable to score the third before falling in the 78th minute.

After the match, Haaland expressed his disappointment at not scoring three goals using some rather colorful words.

He said, “I should have been there a bit but that’s what it is.”

Sky Sports reporter Jeff Shreves warned Haaland about his language, and Haaland replied cleverly: “Ah s**t, sorry.” before the couple bursts into laughter.

Haaland is clearly a real person on and off the field.

On the team’s overall performance, Haaland said it was a good start to the season.

He added, “It was a good start. It’s still early in the season so it’s good to get minutes in the legs. We saw the potential against Bayern Munich.” [in pre-season] And against Liverpool it was a bit low but it will come with the matches. The lanes will come. It should have been over that day, a good start.

“It’s all about the connections in training every day and practicing this. We’ll be better than this, I’m not worried.”

A stern warning to the rest of the teams not only in the Premier League but also across Europe because Haaland and City mean business this season.

They will be looking to win their fifth title in six seasons and perhaps most importantly, their first ever Champions League title.

Europe’s premier club competition remains the only trophy Guardiola has not won at City, and he hopes Haaland can take glory.

In the next phase, newly promoted Bournemouth will be in the ranks of City at the Etihad Stadium, where Haaland is expected to play his first home match with the champions.
