Activision and Infinity Ward revealed upcoming show dates Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Open beta and early access beta today.

as in the past Call of duty Beta, this one is divided into several parts depending on the platform you are playing on and whether or not you have pre-ordered the game.

Spread over two weeks of weekends this coming September, and Modern Warfare II The beta should give players a good taste of what is to come in the multiplayer part of the game.

Getting Things Started Before Beta is a great multiplayer game and war zone 2 Activision branding revealed as Call of Duty: Next. Read more about the event here.

Open beta dates

As noted earlier, the modern war 2 The open beta is divided into different sections, where PlayStation players get the first crack in the game. PC and Xbox players will have access the following weekend. Here are all the start dates and times.

Weekend 1 September 16-20 (PS4 and PS5 only)

Early access is for pre-orders and anyone who gets an early access code is free. More on how to get the code below.

  • PlayStation Early Access begins Friday, September 16th at 10 amT
  • PlayStation Open Beta begins Sunday, September 18 at 10am PT
  • Trial ends 1 weekend at Tuesday 20 September (Probably at 10AM PT but that hasn’t been set, so there might be some wiggle room)

Weekend 2 September 22-26 (cross-play for all platforms)

This beta also has an early access period but this period is open to all PlayStation players regardless of whether or not they have pre-ordered the game.

  • Early Access starts Thursday, September 22nd at 10AM PT
  • Open beta (all platforms) starts Saturday 24th September at 10AM PT
  • Open Beta ends Monday 26th September at an unspecified time

What do you expect in Modern Warfare II beta

At this point we don’t know many details about what will be available to play in the beta but Activision describes it as a “robust multiplayer experience that goes beyond the Core 6v6 experience with a variety of meticulously crafted maps of various sizes, and an equally impressive array of modes and progression experiences.” and other aspects” which will all be revealed in Call of Duty: Next It happened on September 15th. (Read more about this event here).

I think the beta version will have several 6v6 maps and one or two of the big maps Infinity Ward planned. These large maps are taken from the new war zone 2 The map, so playing the big team modes will help familiarize players with that map before launching the Battle Royale sequel.

If previous Call Of Duty betas are anything to go by, we’ll likely see changing modes throughout the weekends, with a number of playlist updates over the course of the beta.

In many ways, this is more of a demo than a beta, though player feedback will certainly help developers fine-tune the game ahead of its October 28 launch. This is a win-win for players and the studio, giving players a chance to test the game before they buy it and Infinity Ward a bit of additional gameplay testing to help prepare early patches (many updates won’t happen at launch but post-launch patches can be communicated through beta feedback).

You can check out one of the maps – Marina Bay Grand Prix – that will be available during beta and at launch in the video below:
