According to the White House physician, Joe Biden has again tested negative for Covid.

“The president continues to feel well,” Dr. Kevin O’Connor said in a note on Saturday.

Biden was returned to isolation this week after he tested positive for Covid last Saturday, following his initial coronavirus diagnosis in July.

The White House says it will continue to impeach the president “with extreme caution” until he reports a second negative test.

The president’s last positive test was on Friday.

“His cough is almost completely gone. His temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate and oxygen saturation remain completely normal. His lungs are still clean,” Dr. O’Connor said at the time.

The president will be eager to emerge from isolation, with key issues such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s controversial trip to Taiwan and final negotiations on the Democrats’ budget bill, moving quickly while the president was in a Covid lockdown.

Biden’s Covid boomerang was the latest high-profile “rebound” case among those who took Paxlovid, an antiviral drug from Pfizer, and White House medical advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci had a similar experience in June.

Food and Drug Administration Baxolvid approved for emergency use in December. Preliminary studies indicate between One And the 6 percent of people have ‘rebound’-like symptoms at the end of their original course of Covid, between day 10 and day 14 since they initially tested positive for Covid. They are not considered new infections with the Corona virus.

According to the CDC, reflux symptoms tend to be milder, and are less likely to lead to hospitalization. The agency says there is no evidence that more baxiloids are needed to resolve rebound cases, and notes that “a brief return of symptoms may be part of the natural history of” Covid.

Officials argue that the antiviral drug is still working well, despite the occasional rebound case.

Dr. Ashish Jha, the White House’s Covid-19 response coordinator, said in July, when he said Biden was first diagnosed with the coronavirus.
