Twenty 20 semi-finals: Edgbaston
India 164-5 (20 points) beat England 160-6 (20 points) in four sets

England’s hopes of winning the Twenty20 gold ended after the hosts fell to a four-time defeat to India in the semi-finals of the Commonwealth Games.

Conquest Smriti Mandhana hit 61 off 32 balls, including three off the six, and Jemimah Rodrigues scored 44 unbeaten as India challenged 164-5.

Captains Nat Skever and Amy Jones looked like they might drive England home but Jones ran out for 31 years.

In desperate need of a run, Sciver also ran out for 41 with England failing.

India will face Australia or New Zealand in the final on Sunday, while England will face the loser for the bronze.

More to track.
