August 17, 2022

After 172 days, NFL football is finally back. The 2022 season begins tonight, as the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Las Vegas Raiders face off in the annual Professional Football Hall of Fame from Canton, Ohio.

Thursday night’s match marks the beginning of new eras for both clubs. New Jaguar coach Doug Pederson is hoping to create a similar magic in Jacksonville after helping deliver the first Lombardy Cup to Philadelphia five years ago. Josh McDaniels is looking to make a similar impact in Las Vegas, who joins the Raiders after his huge success with the New England Patriots.

Tonight’s game features an interesting battle between Jaguars midfielder Jake Luton and Kyle Sloter. Lawton, who was a former sixth-round pick and has not yet attempted a regular season pass, will start with regular season starter Trevor Lawrence. Sloter returns to Canton just over a month after defeating the New Orleans Breakers in the USFL playoffs.

We’ll provide all the info you’ll need for tonight’s game on our live blog below, including live updates, stuff, and analysis.
