The California Highway Patrol 11-99 may revoke Paul Pelosi – husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi – after he reportedly violated its policy during DUI’s arrest in May by flashing his membership card.

During his arrest – with reports showing he stammered as well as red and watery eyes – Pelosi allegedly handed officers his driver’s license and “11-99 Foundation” card when asked for identification, prompting the Law Enforcement Association to investigate, Fox News mentioned.

The 11-99 Foundation is a California Highway Patrol charity created in 1982 “to provide emergency benefits and assistance to CHP employees, their families, and scholarships to their children,” website advertiser.

The Foundation has confirmed to Fox News that any member putting up the Foundation’s name or property while contacting law enforcement is in violation of the group’s Terms and Conditions agreement. The foundation stated that part of the policy prohibits attempting to use someone’s membership in exchange for “preferential treatment” with the police and will result in immediate termination.

“We will wait for the outcome of this trial and assess Mr. Pelosi’s membership status as soon as we have all the facts,” foundation spokeswoman Laura Reed told Fox News Digital.

“If he is found to have violated our terms and conditions, we will cancel his membership and require that all membership items be returned because they are the property of the 11-99 Foundation,” Reid added. “Once we receive these items, we will refund any contribution he has made to the foundation.”

Fox News noted that the Foundation and Reid were aware of the Pelosi incident but that it was an “ongoing investigation and the Foundation did not have all the facts yet.”

Paul Pelosi was involved in a car accident on May 28 at approximately 10:00 p.m., just five miles from his vineyard in the Pelosi River. Pelosi was arrested and charged with a DUI shortly after the incident.

As Breitbart News reported:

The CHP said in a statement that Pelosi was driving east on Walnut Drive when he tried to cross State Route 29, and his 2021 Porsche was hit by a northbound jeep just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Paul Pelosi’s attorney, Amanda Bivens, declined to comment on the matter to Fox News.

“These cards are used to identify our members at various public and private events and to show pride in membership and support for the CHP,” Reid said.
