A worker who was shot at a McDonald’s restaurant in Brooklyn has died during a dispute over French fries.

23-year-old Matthew Webb was shot in the neck by an angry customer outside the Bedford Stylist restaurant where he worked. On Friday, authorities confirmed that Mr Webb had removed life-support devices, New York Post mentioned.

Police said Webb, a Queens resident, shot Michael Morgan, 20, on Monday after Morgan’s mother served cold fries.

Footage obtained by police shows Morgan engaging in a physical assault with Mr. Webb, before being shot. Prosecutors said Morgan fled the scene and tried to get rid of his clothes.

Webb was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced brain dead soon after.

The feud began on August 1 when Morgan’s mother, Lisa Fullmore, complained to store employees that her fries were cold. The staff reportedly started laughing at Ms. Fullmore, who was on a video call with Mr. Morgan Mail mentioned.

The suspect then went to the restaurant and got into a fight with Mr. Webb that ended with the fast food worker being shot in the neck on the sidewalk.

Morgan fled the scene but was later arrested. Ms. Vollmore is alleged to have been told by police that her son told her he “has to do what he has to do,” according to Mail.

Prosecutors said he confessed to killing Webb and an unrelated murder a few blocks from McDonald’s restaurants.

Mr. Morgan was summoned Thursday and charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a loaded firearm. He is being held without bail. Fees are expected to be upgraded.

His girlfriend, Camellia Dunlap, who allegedly handed Morgan the gun, has been accused of gun possession and is being held on $50,000 bail.

Mr. Morgan will also face charges for the murder of Kevin Holloman, 28, in 2020. Mr. Holloman was murdered in front of an apartment building on Herkimer Street near Rochester Avenue.

I told Gardenia Holloman, sister of Mr. Holloman daily news She was glad that Mr. Morgan was finally off the streets.

“I am relieved,” said Mrs. Holloman, “but she will never bring my brother back.” “So it’s bittersweet.”
