England’s Jack Hunter-Spevey beat Isau Ogunkunle in the men’s 3-5 semi-final to secure himself at least a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games.

The Paralympic bronze medalist, 27, scored a massive 11-4, 13-11, 11-9 victory.

He will face Nigeria’s Nasiru Sule in the gold medal match on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Wales player Joshua Stacy earned a medal in Birmingham after defeating defending champion Ross Wilson of England, to reach the 8-10 class final.

England’s Sue Bailey, who won bronze at the Tokyo Paralympics and is competing in her third Commonwealth Games, will face India’s Sonalpin Patel in the women’s 3-5 bronze medal match on Saturday after losing in the semi-finals 11-6 11-6 11-6 To Bhavina Patel, India.
